How Does This Work?

You create a free account and set a Gmail filter to forward your Ingress email damage reports.

The damage reports are processed in realtime into the Outgress analytics and alerting engine.

That's the short version.

Is This Allowed?

We believe so, but you decide.

But My Secret Data!

No one on the opposing faction cares who on their team is attacking you. Do you care who on your team is attacking opposing portals?

Import seems to miss quite a few reports

  1. Hi,

after re-importing my reports I noticed that (today) the number of reports has not changed at all ... 39.000 something ... but while importing (see screenshot) the importer counted far more reports. And checking my archive also seems to backup the number of reports while importing rather than the ones on my status screen/window.

    Import Bug?

    Regards

That's normal... Ingress sends email damage reports to you for each individual item broken on a portal. This means you will end up with multiple email damage reports for what Outgress considers the same attack (any attack on the same portal by the same attacking agent within a 5 minute window). So a whole lot of emails are ignored because it's already logged that "attack" (which again just means an email damage reports is ignored when it is the same agent attacking the same portal within the last 5 minutes).

If you are bored and look through some of your recent damage reports, you'll probably notice you get multiple emails in a lot of cases for a single person attacking a single portal.

  3. Ah .. that explains it ... just searched for some portal I know get a lot of (attack) traffic.

    Cheers
