    Okay, so maybe gmail changed how things work, in order for me to add a forwarding email it requires a confirmation code that is sent to damage@outgress.com. It seems your system isn't setup to bounce these emails back to us as we wet these up.

    I can't add the forwarding filter until I put this confirmation code in to be able to add a forwarding address.

    Are you certain? From the setup instructions:

    Unless something has changed on Google's side within the last few minutes, but I see a whole bunch of people that it worked for today.

    idk, when I was trying to add the email address it was telling me that it sent an email to the outgress address with a confirmation to allow me to send anything. I just registered for outgress today.

    Automatic approval usually takes no more than 1 or 2 seconds.

    If you go to your Gmail settings does it still show that it wants you to enter a confirmation code?

    well, i'm getting a message now in gmail that it is forwarding but it seems weird that it was asking for the confirmation earlier.

    It's automatically approves in 1-2 seconds.

    Make sure you go through the rest of the forwarding instructions. And make sure you didn't accidentally set it to forward ALL your email.

    lol, yeah, no it's not forwarding all of them. it's just forwarding the right ones with the proper title and so on.

    Then you should be good to go... now just a waiting game for someone to attack one of your portals so Niantic sends you an email damage report. :)

    Gmail doesn't retroactively forward emails, so you still have to wait for a new one to come in.

    Once your first forwarded email comes in, you have an option to import historical emails.

    ON the filter. It said you need to leave the TO: field black? IS this correct?

    I think I have done everything correctly but am not getting my agent name or faction.

    Does my agent name need to be the same as my outgress account?

    Yes, "to" field should be blank. Otherwise you will filter emails addressed "to" something, and probably every email you get is addressed to you.

    I assume it's working because it shows you as Enlightened (you have to wait to get attacked before one is forwarded of course).
