How Does This Work?

You create a free account and set a Gmail filter to forward your Ingress email damage reports.

The damage reports are processed in realtime into the Outgress analytics and alerting engine.

That's the short version.

Is This Allowed?

We believe so, but you decide.

But My Secret Data!

No one on the opposing faction cares who on their team is attacking you. Do you care who on your team is attacking opposing portals?

90 Days?

I uploaded my history of attack notifications. My emails go back 2 years, was only 90 days worth uploaded? Is there any way for the site to show more then 90 days?

On that note when you use the option "Never owned by you" if it's only going back 90 days then unless you just started playing that would not be accurate.

    Thank you.

Where exactly are you seeing it go back only 90 days?

on the intel screen on the top left there is a white box that has a slider to drag from 1 day to 90 days.

It just depends the mode you are in... the only 2 modes there that have a date cutoff is the "Recent Attacks" and "Recent Portal Discoveries". Generating a map of where there was high agent activity a year ago or making a map showing portals that Outgress first found out about a long time ago probably isn't terribly useful.

All the other modes have no time cutoff (for example when showing portals you've never owned or sent a damage report from).

The drop-down in the upper left of the Intel map should let you change the mode (and the "Days" threshold should disappear for most modes (the ones it's not used in).

I see thanks for clarifying that.
I would think it would be interesting though to at least have the option to show all data. It would be a nice visualization to see what areas you have played in since the beginning. I'm not sure from a technical side but isn't all the data there already? So would it not just be you programming the slider to show more days? I think people might at least like the option to choose how far back they want to go.

    Thanks again.

Yeah, internally the data is there... But there is a little more to it than just increasing the slider. Specifically the opposition and friendly attack modes have a very high backend overhead when it's generating the heat maps because it takes not only location into account, but frequency and recency into account as well to make the heat map... so when you start going very far back, you can easily start dealing with needing to do calculations on millions of individual attacks that were *ever* in the viewing area on the map.

Probably not worth the overhead required in it's current form.

Now a completely *new* mode that doesn't take individual attacks into account, and instead is just a map of portals you've visited or owned would be more doable. It basically would just be the opposite of the existing modes that show portals you *haven't* send a damage report from and portals you've never owned. Instead of showing the stuff you haven't owned/visited, you show the stuff you have.
