How Does This Work?

You create a free account and set a Gmail filter to forward your Ingress email damage reports.

The damage reports are processed in realtime into the Outgress analytics and alerting engine.

That's the short version.

Is This Allowed?

We believe so, but you decide.

But My Secret Data!

No one on the opposing faction cares who on their team is attacking you. Do you care who on your team is attacking opposing portals?

Create portals? See active areas?

I found this website yesterday and right now I'm on my phone at lunch break and I'd like to see more into this website but cannot find out where to add portals. Been under the page portals but doesn't see any function to do this?
As well when I tried out Intel I never seen any area at least in Europe of any activity?!
I live in quite fairly small city where my portals rarely gets attacked (a few times a week but not daily), so I haven't yet got any notification to try it out.
Is portals added automatically after they being attacked or is it any possibility to add portals? Because on the outgress Intel I see no portals.

    Thanks in advance!

Portals are added automatically the first time an incoming damage report contains that portal. For new areas, once your first attack happens and the system receives a forwarded email damage report, it will give you the option to import any historical email damage reports you may have (if you had them from before). That will allow a new area to be populated with portals and attack history pretty much instantly.

There isn't an option to manually add portals because it would simply cause too many issues with people adding fake or misplaced portals.

If you have setup damage report email forwarding in your Gmail account and you really get very little attacks on your portals, you could ADA/Jarvis your own portal since flipping your own portal counts as an attack and will trigger an email damage report.

As far as certain areas not being populated, there are some areas in your country that are populated (although not a ton there yet). For example: https://outgress.com/intel/?h=1kxl&ll=59.3772,13.5051&z=14

Other areas of Europe have more people feeding data, so it's better populated so far. Some examples:

    Paris: https://outgress.com/intel/?h=2rnh&ll=48.8622,2.3365&z=14
    London: https://outgress.com/intel/?h=329n&ll=51.5144,-0.1181&z=14
    Gent: https://outgress.com/intel/?h=400e&ll=51.052,3.7292&z=14
    etc...

Outgress itself is fairly new, but it's growing much faster than I had expected. New areas are coming online really fast these days.

Also, you can see new portals being discovered by the system in real time (this tab shows portals that the system has never seen before and just discovered):

Yeah... if a few people in an area come online, an area gets populated super quick. Check out Tokyo or Chicago... both of those areas got totally populated literally overnight as people in the area imported their historical email damage reports.

So forwarding my current historical mails with damage report (I've loads of them), I do manually via Gmail? Is it also required PC or desktop view to forward them? Didn't seem find select all nor forward option on my Gmail app however. So may do so later then :)

Is there no way or no tutorial in forward all my mails I've from the damage reports to damage@ingress.com ? I've now correctly configured the automatic forwarding, it should work but haven't tried. But when I manually pick one mail and forward to that e-mail, nothing happening

Once one email is successfully forwarded, you will get a welcome email with a link to import historical emails. The import process only works once you have forwarded one (it works that way so people don't get confused and import emails without setting up forwarding and then wonder why new emails don't show up).
